BSV Blockchain reached a protocol milestone in April 2026 with the activation of Chronicle, also known as SV Node v1.2.0, at block height 943,816. The upgrade was described as the completion of Bitcoin’s original protocol restoration and a final major SV Node step before the wider Teranode era. Chronicle restored remaining original protocol functions, removed leftover restrictions, and required SV Node operators to upgrade in order to remain in consensus with the network.
BSV TIMES read:
Chronicle matters because it strengthens the infrastructure foundation beneath BSV Blockchain. The story is not only a protocol event, but a transition point: a stable base protocol preparing the way for larger-scale Teranode deployment and enterprise-grade data processing.
