TokenSquare’s KRWQ Brings a Won-Based Stablecoin Infrastructure to BSV Blockchain

TokenSquare has launched KRWQ, a Korean-won stablecoin infrastructure for the South Korean market, in collaboration with BSV Association. According to ZDNet Korea, the rollout follows a June 2025 MOU and ongoing work on technical verification, node operations, and commercialization. The infrastructure is being presented not as a speculative token story, but as a payments and settlement story. ZDNet reports that KRWQ is built on BSV’s Teranode architecture and is aimed at large-scale real-time payments, micropayments, and enterprise settlement. ZDNet says TokenSquare has built KRWQ with a control layer that includes KYC/AML, freeze, and hold functions, and that it has also signed a custody-related MOU with KODA. For BSV Blockchain, the significance is straightforward. This is another example of the chain being used as a base layer for real payment infrastructure: low-fee, high-speed, compliance-aware, and oriented toward actual commercial use.
