KRWQ Korean Won Payment Infrastructure Remains a Key BSV Story

TokenSquare’s launch of KRWQ, a Korean won-denominated payment infrastructure developed with BSV Association, remains one of the most important recent BSV-related developments. ZDNet Korea reported that KRWQ is built on BSV’s Teranode architecture and is intended for large-scale real-time payments, micropayments, and business settlement. The report also noted that users would not need to hold a separate gas-fee asset to make payments. (ZDNet Korea)

The KRWQ infrastructure also includes compliance-oriented controls, including KYC/AML features, freeze and hold functions, and a custody-related arrangement with Korea Digital Asset. TokenSquare’s CEO described KRWQ as next-generation won payment infrastructure connecting AI payments, micropayments, business settlement, and digital commerce. (ZDNet Korea)

BSV TIMES read:
KRWQ matters because it places BSV Blockchain inside a payment-infrastructure discussion: fast settlement, low-cost transactions, compliance-aware design, and enterprise-scale payment flows. It also fits the broader direction of invisible blockchain infrastructure, where users interact with familiar payment systems while the ledger works underneath.
