Capacity claims meet real deployment questions

The discussion since the last check has sharpened around two practical edges.

First, Teranode’s capacity numbers remain assertive. The current architecture is still being described as capable of roughly 6 million transactions per second, with optimization potentially pushing that toward 10 million — framed as math on the existing system rather than a distant roadmap promise. Sub-millisecond UTXO lookups via Aerospike continue to be cited as the kind of low-level performance needed to support that scale.

Second, the quieter pushback is about what “running a node” actually means. Some voices are treating Teranode as inherently a multi-region Kubernetes cluster with heavy dependencies. Others are pointing back to the documented paths: a single-host Docker Compose setup (Aerospike + Postgres + Kafka/Redpanda) exists alongside the horizontal Kubernetes option. The distinction matters for builders trying to understand the real barrier to entry.

Meanwhile on the application side, LocalBSV has shipped practical improvements: better 0-conf trading that allows back-to-back purchases without waiting for prior confirmations, plus partial-fill limit orders. The earlier UTXO selection bug is still being worked, but the direction is clear — reducing friction for people actually using the token layer.

The current pulse sits in that tension: ambitious throughput architecture on one side, and the concrete questions of how you deploy it and how usable the tools on top of it feel on the other.
