Hardening the stack and watching the wallets

The practical edge since the last check sits between node operations and wallet behavior.

Teranode has moved v0.16.0 out of the beta cycle into a regular release, while development continues into the first v0.16.1 beta. The new work continues the operational-hardening theme: stronger access controls around internal services, rather than new throughput headlines. Reliability and service boundaries remain the focus.

On the application side, a concrete wallet warning is circulating. LocalBSV flagged that connecting seed phrases to Yours Wallet can trigger a token-blind auto-sweep (KeysService.sweepLegacy) that may burn BSV-21 tokens. The suggested safer path is one wallet per application, with tokens moved individually rather than sweeping entire seeds across apps. An issue report on the wallet side is expected to follow.

PiWalletSV, meanwhile, is in early shipping mode for its air-gapped BSV-only cold storage devices. First-batch logistics hit ordinary delays (carrier timing, not a design change), but the project continues to emphasize open software, replaceable hardware, and multi-device file sync via shared storage.

Around the edges, builders are still pressing on data-scale use cases: SPV-backed selective verification down to packet or chunk level, and the unresolved economics of who pays for BSV-21 indexing so tokens actually appear in wallets.

The current pulse is less about capacity claims and more about whether the stack stays trustworthy as people start moving real tokens and hardware through it.
