Big test blocks, Twetch on Teranode, earlier wallet receipts

The practical edge since the last check is scale testing meeting application traffic — and a quieter improvement in how wallets learn a transaction was accepted by the broadcaster.

BSV Association CTO Siggi reported a current Teranode test run that mined a 500GB block with about 2.8 billion transactions, framed as scale testing that surfaces issues smaller runs would miss while the team continues to optimize and harden the stack. Separately, Twetch has said it is now running on Teranode, with the Association amplifying the “running Teranode” line — putting a live social/app workload next to the lab numbers rather than only next to capacity slides.

On the payment path, Broadcaster v0.20.0 adds live receipt notifications so wallets can learn when the service has recorded a submitted transaction before network acceptance or block inclusion (a new RECEIVED event). The same release improves handling of consecutive payments that spend unconfirmed change, adds configurable API-key usage limits, and improves tracking after reorgs — practical status and sequencing work for payment apps, not a throughput claim.

UX and boundaries remain a parallel theme. Project Babbage is pushing the line that everyday users should see contacts, receipts, permissions, and recovery — not raw private keys, txids, scripts, or addresses — with apps using a wallet boundary so signing and payments do not require the app to hold keys. Recovery/portability continues to point at formats such as BRC-39 and multi-store sync (BRC-40).

The current pulse is the gap narrowing between measured large-block tests, at least one app claiming a Teranode deployment path, and infrastructure that tells wallets what happened earlier in the pipeline.
